Memories (palindrome)

by Hatori   May 24, 2007

Memories,
Hiding and enslaving,
Cunning yet hurtful,
Perpetual, sorrowful,
Loath or love,
Fright and dismay,
Dream to forget,
Pain.

*Mirror reflection*

Pain,
Forget to dream,
Dismay and fright,
Love or loath,
Sorrowful, perpetual,
Hurtful yet cunning,
Enslaving and hiding,
Memories.

I knew what a palindrome was, but I'd never seen a poetry form based off of one.
    Great idea!

I liked the line "dream to forget," and how it changed to "forget to dream."
    Beautifully written.

Thanks for showing me a new form!

I haven't read a palindrome before, and this one was the best one I have read! I feel your words completely and the flow just connets everything together. I felt happy reading this, and my favorite part, was the mirror reflection, because it gave a different meaning, yet made lots of sense. I hope you understand what I mean by that! :P

I also like how you covered eveything about memories. They can be happy and said, and yet they can hold true meaning in ones life. This poem was insprirational, and I shall read it over and over till I can recite, because truly this is a wonderful poem! Great job!
