London Bridge

by Hey Brittknee   May 25, 2007

Every time I see you
You make my walls come down
I don't know how you do it
You make smiles out of frowns

The London Bridge came crashing
Falling to the ground
Just like my wall of security
Whenever you're around

London Bridge came falling
Like a klutz with untied shoes
Just like me, I seem to stumble
Whenever I'm near you

Every time you're by me
My heart just beats so fast
I stumble over every word
The moments seem to last

London Bridge is rubble
Stones beneath our feet
I know I am safe with you
The moment our eyes meet

London Bridge of concrete
A fragile heart of glass
Staring up at bright blue skies
Watching as clouds pass

Every time our hands touch
You look into my eyes
There are no hidden secrets
There are no hidden lies

London Bridge fell down
But never will our love
You're my angel from the sky
My heaven up above

London Bridge is down and out
But we still stand up high
We are strong, we'll make it through
Love and friendship never die

I thought your name was Britt? Omg...I'm so confused, but anyway. I really liked this poem, very creative. I agree with Kit-Kat Girl, the way you used London Bridge through the poem was really good. Keep up the good work.
