Hopeless Love

by George   May 25, 2007

A dream so strong it cannot die
Captures, holds, enslaves minds eye
Control the mind, control the soul
This dream has taken over all

But what can come of such a love?
A gift yet curse from gods above
And do they laugh at my torment?
Was this all for sorrow meant?
Some games to please a dark gods lust
Turn angels demons when they must

Bloody torture of my heart
Ripping tearing me apart
Love unrequited, doomed to pain
I think I've healed, then hurt again

I want, I need you at my side
But truth no longer can I hide
I lack some precious thing you need
And so must leave, gods grant me speed
