Beauty Beyond the Angels

by George   May 25, 2007

An angel's face with golden hair
With her charm can ne'er compare
I close my eyes to spare the sight
My beastly eyes, they have no right
To look upon her lovely face
To steal from God undeserved grace

No words do justice to her name
To try should surely end in shame
Yet still the words come flowing forth
Empty, pointless, lacking worth

A shell is all that can be told
Still, even that is flat and cold
For beautiful as words can be
More beautiful by far is she
