Disapearing act

by lost   May 25, 2007

Now you see me, now you don't
We all know the drill
Some corny magician walks to the stage
Takes a bow does some weird illusion
We clap then it's over....right
Wrong

This is the story of a boy who made an illusion
Into reality....

He stayed up at night wondering about the future
Thinking about who he'd meet next
Or where his life would take him
He had thought about his friends
And come upon the decision that none of them cared
They all just wanted attention so they "helped"
The depressed kid.

He woke up the next morning
Determined to make it through the day
He had already told some of his friends the way he felt
And he was sure he had hell to pay
When he walked through the doors to his school
He looked around to see if anyone was looking for him
And he slowly and quietly walked to his locker

Throughout his day, all his old friend didn't say a word
They would look at him and smile meekly
But never got too close
He made it to the end of school before he finally broke down
He couldn't do this, he needed them
But he knew that he had too, it was too late
He couldn't take it back

So when he got home he told his parents of his plan
They agreed and took him to his sisters
On the other side of the country
There he would stay throughout the summer
When he got there his parents explained everything
And his sister welcomed him with a big warm smile
Something he had not seen in a long long time

So now his plan was set
There would be no contact with his old friends
He was going to restart
He'd finally been able to move on
He knew they would miss him and he knew he was hurting them
But he also knew it was for his own good
Maybe even theirs too

A real magician that kid is, actually able to disappear
But yet it all being just one big illusion....
