Morning Fairy on the Glen

by Twisted Heart   May 25, 2007

As butterflies encircled her
She twirled upon meadow's green
Singing a song of wonder
A mystical dream.

Golden tip wings fluttering
Iridescent to mere eyes
Fairy feet upon the glen
A fanciful sight.

Dipping in buttercup bowls
Finger small she licks with glee
Dew caught in silver bells and
Honeysuckle trees.

Intake of breath, but still heard
By ears tipped to the sigh
Wee form rises from the ground
As her wings take flight.

This is so enchanting. Imagery is excellent. Takes you to another world.

I love these lines. Nothing like the smell of Honeysuckle.

That was so beautiful! I love poetry about fantastical creatures and nature. It is such and escape from whatever the day brings. Thank you so much for sharing! :) 5/5 for sure!
