Omissions In Blood

by RawrItsDollfacex   May 25, 2007

Her words tainted by his blood
Of a lover once pasted
Pray it was a lie
Wish this wouldnt last.

Fleeing to the near burning city
Full of fiery lights
Knowing this is then end
Of her lonely nights.

Sitting on the gold throne
To fill his position
To let herself fade away
She used to be a Christian.

Now all she has is the city before her
Watching it burn away
Hoping she will burn too
And be dead by the end of the day.

Great poem, I like the imagery and the choice of words. "Her words tainted by his blood"- powerful line. Keep writing! 5/5
