Confessions of a Cutter

by xXSomeoneLoveMeXx   May 25, 2007

She wakes up in the morning
And goes to her closet
Pulls out a long sleeve shirt
And throws it on
She goes to school
And people ask
Aren't you warm?
Its like 90 out
She makes excuses
And they believe
She goes home and starts to cry
Thinking of her life
Passing her by
Mom comes home
And starts to Yell
Dad comes home
And starts to *itch
She going in and takes her bath
Starts to cry and grabs the razor
She slits her wrist
Not wanting to die
Feeling the pain
Just keeps her alive

That brought back memories, all cutters will be able to get this poem, its something i thank God everyday that i don't have to go through anymore. (not literally i'm not religious)

it so true that you don't wanna die you just wanna feel something apart from disapointment and numbness in your life, even if its pain, at least its something you can feel.

the structure is basic, so is the language, and the jist of the poem, theres no flattery and i guess this helps show the real emotions.

is this one of them poems, that you write but go into third person even though its you that going through this? or is it someone els eyou are writting about.

a negative would be that putting num bers like 90 in the middle of the poem is off putting spell the word fully. its also quite slangy.
