Light

by I - O - W - A   May 25, 2007

When you look into my eyes, what do you see?
The same old excuses or your mistakes reflecting off of me?
When you stare at your own reflection, what do you see?
Your mistakes or what you want yourself to be?
No matter how hard you try or
How many times you ask why, time passed by
While you stood still to watch your own downfall
What you once beleived in now seems so small

Crawling On the Floor
Trying To Reach The Open Door
Side By Side With Your Friends
This Is Where Everything Ends
Looking Thru the Open Door
What I Saw Is There No More

When i looked into your eyes, this is what i saw
Your same old excuses and mistakes, my eyes became sore
When i stare at my own reflection this is what i see
The person that i was made now becoming free
your right no matter how hard i try, or
How many times i ask why, what i once believed in
Will pass by as i stand still and watch as time flys by
wishing i never kept everything inside, sacraficing my mind
