Run Away

by skynerraw   May 25, 2007

I want to run away
I think about it every day
Whats the point of staying here
Its everyones judgment, that I fear

You tell me to change my look
But in doing that you took
My dignity, my pride
Now I have to hide

I just want to scream, and loose control
Forget about my every goal
Punch that prep in the face
She's such a phyco nut case
I hate her, I hate her
How can that guy date her?

Whatever I want to die
I think, as you leave me here to cry

Then there's him
So damn dim
He'll watch me fall
And he won't help at all
He wants to watch me fail
Just to send me hate mail
Even though you're my father
I'm not worth your bother
You put me down
To hold onto your crown
Try to make me cry,
I already want to die

I wrote a long not
with a single, special quote
And at the bottom what he'll never know
I can't let my obsession show
It's for when I run away
But I put it off day after day
Because I'm a gutless little wimp
And at work I always "skimp"
According to you thats all I'll be for
You're so sure
That I'll turn out to be nothing
When will the bell ring?
That when I'm 18, I'm out of your hair
At my wedding I won't see you there

My friends are the things stopping me from leaving
Even though I think about it every day
They pull me through this horrid life
And stop me from picking up a knife

I'm falling in to this "hole"
Because of you're sick goal
To put me down
To hang onto your crown

And the people at school
Who think they're so cool
They laugh behind my back
To afraid to attack
They all think I'm rich
And that my head has a glitch
They think my life is perfect
Inside I'm wrecked

I want to run away
I know I will someday

*-Sky-*
I love my friends, I couldn't live with out them!

things just get worse when you're found

"Punch that prep in the face
She's such a phyco nut case"

Really good poem, and great subject. I guess there are many people that can relate to what you're saying, and I am one of them.
The sixth stanza is my favorite. I like the choice of words in the poem.
