Our Future

by Mousie   May 25, 2007

Teddy bears and rattles
Dimples, chubby cheeks,
Choo-choo trains and building blocks
Curious instinct.

Teensy hand and footprints
Pitter-patter run,
Stumbles of the learning mind
Delighted by the fun.

Messy face of birthday cake
One year old at best,
Innocent and cherished young
Yearning for the rest.

The years of faithful childhood
Dawning on the youth,
Person's of a later day
Our future's living proof.

i needed to write this for my aunt for something on child advocacy. let me know if it's any good, she basically didn't give me anything to go by.
