Hold on

by lost   May 26, 2007

What doesn't matter now, probably won't matter later.
What you care about today, will most likely be forgotten tomorrow.
So live for today
Forget what you saw in the past
Love like theres no tomorrow
Quit drowning yourself in this pool of pity
You're stronger than this, pull yourself up
And stand on your own two feet

What they said to you won't matter in 5 years
This high school drama you're living through
Each and every day, it will not matter when your older
You may think you are mature right now
But you've got a lot of life ahead
You've just begun to walk this path
You're no where near ready to be independent
You most likely wouldn't last out all by yourself

You can not see it now but a couple months from now
Your gonna fall in love and find hope in new friends
Why end your life now
When you don't know what's ahead
You can't see past these problems in your life
Your killing yourself from the inside out
Starting with a thought, ending with a scar
You put yourself down and treat yourself like crap
When what you should be doing is having fun
Just ask that old guy you saw in the store
I bet he wishes he hadn't wasted his childhood away

Maybe this is your story
Maybe something I have said
Has triggered something in your head
Maybe all you need is some one to be there
Just for that one person to take the time to care
Well I'll tell you now
I've been there and I've done that
And in the end I discovered
There were strangers out there
That cared more about me than my greatest friend
Don't give up your life now
Give it to the end of summer and if you still can't make it
Try one last time and give it your all
Someones gonna come running and help you through this
You've just got to hold on.
