The same old thing

by Tracy D Rollings   May 26, 2007

I wake up every morning to the same old thing, empty bed and a aching pain
some people in life have it made, others like me well we just can't explain.

Loneliness is one of Gods ways of saying you did something wrong
it plays in my mind and heart all the time, like a never ending song.

Faith is something that I'm running very low on, it's about to get me
trying to out run my destiny, but I'm getting tired of being wild and free.

Hope is something that I'm so full of, but seems to run out way to soon
I get up in the morning pushing my way through the day, It's gone by noon.

And above all Love, the greatest of them, the power which controls all
it can make you happy or play you for a sucker and you take the fall.

But as life goes on, this things will forever be here, never to leave, never to die
so you don't ask yourself ,what did we have ,how did I lose it, you'll simple ask why.
Love that will stick with you from beginning to the end
the only bad part of it is, love is blind and it really has no friend.

So take it from the heart, not long ago, that just got up off the ground
love can build you up, but before you know it, it'll knock you back down.

I know I've done some crazy things, for the ones I've loved in my past
jumping in with both feet, not even knowing or caring if it would last.

Just living for the moment, in that time frame, because It felt right
I lay here and think about that and how it got me alone at night.

Wasting my love on unwanted trust and lies, never to be found again
hurting so bad from feeling the emotions, the hate and pain till the end.©2007 Tracydr42

This is very heartfelt. The sadness can be felt from everyword.
