One decision

by BreeAnna   May 26, 2007

I hear the music in the house,
all the way from across the street,
I don't think its a good idea to go in,
but you had someone you wanted me to meet.

just another typical high school party,
drinking, sex, and drugs,
I told you to be careful about what you did,
as we parted with a close hug.

I had a bad feeling that night,
because I knew you were here for the fun,
but I didn't think you were that stupid,
I didn't know you would do something so dumb.

At the time I didn't know,
what you were doing behind my back,
we got back together toward the end of the party,
and we left right on track.

you insisted that I was to tired,
and that you should take the wheel,
I agreed and laid my head on the window,
what happened next was simply a kill.

You had been drinking way to much,
the medics said way to many beers,
thats why when we went down the dark steep road,
you were unable to see that deer.

a deer wasn't the only thing that you hit that night,
he was a little 12 year old named Kevin,
he wont be able to make it to 13,
because he is watching his family from heaven.

if you would have listened to me,
and took what I said into consideration,
you wouldn't be under the ground,
leaving me in with all this frustration.

as you leave me here to tell your story,
I encourage people to fight the temptations,
one decision can make the biggest difference,
saving lifes is my determination.

be careful out there. one decision can change it all.
