Her Pain

by ben thompson   May 26, 2007

Trapped by horrible disease
in a lonely abysmal hole.
She longs to kiss the sun
if only her legs would go.

Plagued by constant pain
her old couch hardly a throne.
Forgotten by her friends
sealed in darkness all alone.

Fortune finally smiles
waiting so many long years.
Computer to fill her hours
erasing exiled tears.

Poem writing found
her outlet for her fears.
Friends discovered all over
respect earned from peers.

Then along comes a coward
malice fills his heart.
This man gets his jollies
tearing others apart.

Spewing hurtful words
slicing emotions like a knife.
His prideful jealous accusations
make such a sad life.

If he only knew
what it is he lacks.
He lacks compassion, spreading
poison like a shank in the back.

Hey Ben, i know what this is about and i so very much agree with you. some people just live in their own world and treat themselves as Master Of Life. I just wish that they do go through some real pain to know the value of word in real life.

    Great poem friend...keep writing

all the best and take care
