If I'm not alive tomorrow

by Anonymous Angel   May 26, 2007

If I'm not alive tomorrow

If the time has come,
for me to leave this place
Then I hope to become,
one with the space.

If that day is tomorrow,
please, don't hate me for it
Do express your sorrow,
but don't think its suicide I commit.

I love my life dearly,
live my life as if every day is the last
I don't plan on leaving early,
but life is going fast.

So if I'm not there the next day,
remember how I used to be
How we used to play,
and swim in the sea.

Remember the good things,
maybe we will meet again
You never know what time brings,
and when.

What a beautiful poem that captures such an essential facet of life!

The only thing I'd have to say threw me off a bit was the abrupt ending, but that is a judgment of creativity and it was still very good. Great work!
