Dark

by Emma   May 26, 2007

I crawl into my bed at night
And curl up in the covers tight
I flip the switch to kill the light
The darkness comes and blocks my sight

In the black i start to cry
As i lay and wonder why
My life appears to be a lie
Sitting up i heave a sigh

Under my pillow is where it hides
Across my wirst it slowly glides
And then the blood starts to rise
As i picture all the lies

I thought it was extremely good. You remind me about how one of my friends writes and she helps me with all of mine!

This poem is so very sad. The sadness comes through in your words.

In the black i start to cry
As i lay and wonder why
My life appears to be a lie
Sitting up i heave a sigh

    This stanza really touched me.
    Take care Cindy
