So pure

by James Sawyer   May 26, 2007

The Man walked away from the talk
His path once so pure
Now his heart as hard as a rock
A hateful glare adorning his eyes
The emptiness of truth twisted in lies

Beyond reach immersed deep in though
No rest for the wicked till all of them caught
He steps through a doorway at just past dusk
Belief in his hatred let all gods go to rust
His vengeance exploding burning all round
The others to follow yet one of them down

One searched for passage away from this truth
Lost in his memories the days of his youth
His eyes distracted his mind swept away
His heart stopped a beating that very same day
Satisfaction eludes him yet this is his right

The third tucked in locked away for the night
Delighted with himself having eluded the fight
An anger as consumed is not so easily fooled
Rapture and joy for these are the rules
Found and dispatched the third meet his end
Found is no joy in the killing the killing of men
Ones once called brother and all of them friends
