Will we be the ones?

by Erin   May 26, 2007

Who do you all think you are?
You say you're sons and daughters of Christ,
But if I were you, I'd go have a long talk with your Father.
Learn to practice what you preach, because what you preach is beautiful,
But what you show the world is anything but.

Judgmental stares, harsh words toward those who live differently than you,
Pray differently than you, worship differently than you,
But love the same God you do.
You whisper your criticisms so that you don't "hurt" anyone
But He hears you, and hurts for all of us.

Take the knowledge you're so proud of and put it to action,
Because knowledge with no action, is waste.
Can we be the generation that comes together and lifts up the word of God to become a community of faith?

Only if the judgment stops.
Only if we take the grace of God out in to the world with us from underneath the steeple.
If, and only if, we love each other.
