Poisoned Words

by Lindsay   May 27, 2007

Speak to me once again
Whisper in my ear feelings now dead
Let the faithless words slip from your pen
And to me, only to me let them be fed

Those poisoned things you say
They seep into my blood
Seeming pleasant at night, deceiving by day
They cause my tears to form an endless flood

As you intoxicate my veins
And slowly stop my heart
You act ignorant of all these pains
I know this is just the start

Your lies are killing me
But I know you care not
And the thing you don't seem see
Is just how much I fought

Cause I fought for this life
I fought through your night
But now you’ll take your knife
And end this futile fight
