Forget Every Kiss

by Rachel   May 27, 2007

He loves her, he holds her,
so close and tightly
and as he looks in her eyes
he sees they're shining brightly
she holds a joy that runs deep
a deepness beyond comprehension
this happiness she always wants to keep

but love runs short
and time flies by
and soon enough
their love has run dry
all the words that he said
and all the promises he made
have all washed away
as her smile begins to fade
life seems so pointless
without him here
and all hope seems lost
as she cries her first tear
where has that love gone?
it instantly vanished
out of his life
she she was suddenly banished

now from here you must see
that it's really hard for me
to make up a new happy ending
but I have one thing to say
before you go away
it's a word of wisdom to all
"don't let love bring you down,
yes wipe off that frown.
because frankly I have two things to say
and the second is this:
forget every kiss
and everything that he said
now wipe off those tears
and don't linger here
because life has so much more in store!"

Great poem... it was really good in the sense that it sounded like you were making a speach or talking to a person one on one, but still poetic... great work, keep it up
