Grin and bare it

by Erin   May 27, 2007

-Hey bright eyes where's the big smile?
Oh gosh! I'm sorry I forgot I'm putting on a show, my mistake.
I'm still on stage, can't break character.
The audience is lost in the altered reality.

Why trouble the world with my problems?
There's already plenty to go around.
Mine are insignificant,
So I'll just tuck them away in my little jean skirt.

Oh I'm fine thanks, how are you?
The difference with me, I actually care.
I care, that's why I'm so damn upset.
Where is everyone else's compassion ending up?

Are people live with big piles of selflessness and consideration on their desks?
Let's do some house cleaning.
But while you do that, I'll be playing my part.
-There you go sweetheart, looking beautifully joyful as always.
