Another Child

by tyanna   May 27, 2007

Another child goes hungry,
she rarely gets a meal.
Born into a town of poverty,
for food, they won't be cut a deal.

She'll never know what a playstation is,
nor will she play a board game.
She'll never even have a television,
or know anything about fame.

Her tiny feet are red and swollen,
they'll never properly heal.
She has never owned a pair of shoes,
and her mom hates to steal.

Her nose is always running,
and her cough continues to get worse.
Her momma prays to the Lord above,
"God she's to young to ride in a hearse."

She may not have any money,
or fancy clothes and shoes,
But the story of her life is one,
we should all listen closely to.

****She'll never know what a playstation is,
nor will she play a board game.
She'll never even have a television,
or know anything about fame.****
This last line may confuse some, but a lot of little kids have an actor or actress that they adore..A few years ago girls wanted to be like Brittney Spears or Lindsy Lohan.. And as far as a television and playstation, that's what most children's lives revolve around these days (whether there's better things they could be doing or not).
