The Divine Song

by supratim   May 27, 2007

The citadel of mankind
Has reached the sky,
Or is about to reach!

Rose from the union
Of two innocent souls
And their innocent love.

The Holy Book teaches,
And it's verses cry--

Love is the beginning,
Love is the end.

Calling unto the bleeding mankind
Desperately howling for peace.

The peacock of time
Has flew at last,
Decades and centuries passed.
But nature showed
And the Scriptures sang,
The eternal song of love.

The empty cistern of bleeding hearts
Rose in the age so new.
Where malice sat
On the throne of love
And bloodshed led the way.

Cloyed! O, ye mankind
Full is the belly
And full is the frozen heart.
Shut are the eyes
And cloyed are the ears
Of tearing clamor and cries.

Wheel of time with it's changing phase
Has warned the decades dead.
When malice rose
And darkness ruled
And blood of innocence shrieked.

Decades ended and ages peeped
Dynasties rose and died.
The age old song
Of love but stayed
In forms of life or dead!

The darkest storm
Of a trampled heart
Is ceased by a touch
Or, a soft sweet voice,
Singing the tune that nature sang----

"Love is the beginning
And love is the end."
