Abandoned

You're falling, you can see it happening,
Someone about to let you go forever,
Someone letting you go and abandoning,
You've always been alone, alone forever.
Someone grabs you by your arm,
You dont hit the floor; they don't let it happen,
He says that he would never let you be harmed,
You smile as his grip on you tightens.

Your pulled to your feet and asked if you're ok,
You're shaken slightly but nod so he knows,
But as he lets you go you start to rock and sway,
He holds onto you and stays by you though.
A murmur of thanks to him is all you can manage,
But he says he doesn't need to hear your thanks,
He just needs you to sit still and relax at this stage,
As he sits there with you his face becomes blank.

Your best mate walks over and asks what happened,
You look to him and he smiles and answers her,
She looks at him when he comes to an end,
He looks up and asks where your friends were.
You look at your best mate, knowing he has a point,
He looks at you to hear what you're going to say,
You bite your lip, you know your going to disappoint,
You finally speak and say she had abandoned you that day.
