A Stolen Angel

by GraCiE   May 27, 2007

Happy, sweet and innocent,
you had so much time to grow,
but when that fatal day arrived,
God didn't reckon so.

He stole you from this blessed planet,
for you he had other plans,
but he didn't think of the rest of us,
when he lead you by your hand.

your smile was of a fallen angel,
so why did he end it this way?
the image of you unwakable
haunts me to this very day.

I dont know if you know you're dead,
or if you were unknowingly reborn again,
your soul left your fragile body,
I hope you weren't in pain.

The unknown fears me,
As i want to be in the know,
What happened to your soul and spirit,
When your heart began to slow?

Your soul just can't disappear,
Once you took your final breath,
Because your spirit was a strong one,
That could over come anything...death.

so now I wonder where you are,
But then I realise,
A part of you lives on in all of us,
so you never really died.

For Natalie Thomas, aged only 15 when she died in a tragic car accident just after her birthday.may she live on in all of us forever unforgotten.

I really like this poem. You write in a very straightforward manner. No ambiguities here. It captures your strong seeking spirit in wanting to pierce through the mysterious veil of death.
