Chocolate Love

by Cristiana   May 27, 2007

When given chocolate for the first time,
A person can become addicted.
Chocolate can be found on a daily basis.
Then comes the day
When you can have chocolate no more.
Your world crashes and swirls
Into a large pit of darkness,
Full of nothing.
You've been chewed up,
Swallowed and spit right back
Up and out.
Your hopes and dreams are crushed.
Physically unharmed,
While mentally thrashed.
Although you have tastes of sugar,
Nothing is ever the same
Without the sweetness
Of your delicious chocolate.
You just feel incomplete.
Put together,
At first,
By beautiful faeries
And then ripped apart by horrific ogres.
The saying,
"It is better to have loved
And to have lost
Then to never have loved at all,"
Seems so superficial.
To have a mind,
Is to store thoughts.
These thoughts
Then turn into hopes,
Hopes into dreams,
But when the dreams become nightmares,
Your life slows to an end.
From beginning to end,
Happiness to sadness,
Fiction to reality.
Once you realize,
That you have no more,
You begin to lose your will.
You create lies for yourself.
Soon, you find yourself
Climbing up a ladder of lies
And once you turn around
To see what mess you left,
The ladder disappears
And you fall.
Into what,
Is unknown,
But you are gone forever.
Whether this is good or bad,
Can only be thought about
By those still living in their blissful ignorance.

THE END
