If Those Bleachers Could Talk

by Sabrina Kay   May 28, 2007

Oh if only those bleachers could talk...from guys to Truth or Dare. (I'd rather bring that up). Or maybe all the times Courtney would scream about how Coach was just not being fair! They may tell you of Jamie. I know they remember him. Or all the talks of Nick...I'm still trying to keep that memory dim. How could they forget all those War ball games? But no matter what our "group" was to blame. I'm sure they remember the talks of the skies. And how we will enter in that door when we die.
I think back to the days when we sat in the bleachers and talked about guys from the past. Gah how we brought up everyone and how those tears fell so fast. Everyone would stop and ask but you were the one who stayed. You would smile and tell me that wrinkles was all that crying made.
God knows we caught abunch of tears that year in that seat. That's a record I want to see someone else try to beat! You were the only one who understood the tears. You understood it all! That's why I wasn't afraid to tell you me secrets or fears.
No matter if it was to catch my tears or just to hear me pout. You sat with me in those bleachers and always heard me out. You would hold me when I would have a spell. Or make me eat when I got dizzy and fell.
I remember it all! Oh how we would run into the padding just so we could fall.I remember your first day and how Paige got so dang mad. Poor thing she's so pathetically sad. I remember you trying to show your school spirit by wearing S.M.A.R. for a year. It must have looked right to you in the mirror.
But through it all we stuck together! Telling each other we would be friends forever. I've been with you through the tears, the laughs, and the fights. And I promise to stay with you until we see that great light! I'll hold your hand as we walk through that colorful door. And we'll cry together as we find out we'll be together forever more.
