Echoes of Loneliness

by Tonya   May 28, 2007

Sweet innocent laughter abound
Are treasures of your home
Captured memories joyfully smile
Of times formerly known

Pleasant sounds of harmony drift
Dancing gracefully to and fro
Radiant sanctity of family bliss
Perfected in loves aglow

Pondering the appeal of your dynasty
A dwelling prepared to impress
Aware the flesh of my blood prefers
What I have failed to possess

In my humbled walls of desolate silence
My heart bares the weight of distress
Detecting the sound of an empty abode
I am deafened by echoes of loneliness

The blood of a poets broken heart shows up well on the white page with words that show the cracks and depths of that wounded heart. Keep up the good works.

Excellent write. Wonderful flow, and so sad.

    Loved this stanza.

"I am deafened by echoes of loneliness"
Sometimes, silence screams louder than words.

    ~~Bravo~~
