A beautifully sad poem. Struck a chord with me, as I'm expecting my first baby in 7 weeks. I like the way you wrote it, will check out your other stuff.

My first r/r/c to you as contest winner!

Reading this poem, made me see how talented you are at bringing a message across that papers (here at least) often lack.

the most beautiful part of the poem for me was the following:

A sweet child of nearly one,
born early from what his parents had done.
Doctors are baffled, not much to do
he is suffering from death thats overdue.

I don't think other words could have made a bigger inpact!
I am very happy I got the chance to read this piece.

It's really sad how people can be cruel and do drugs and stuff..especially when they have a baby coming on the way..really good poem though. 5/5

WOW first of all I love how some of your poems are based on true stories and things you have read in newspapers.

I ought to try that sometime and see what I can come up with. very brilliant idea by the way.

"Doctors are baffled, not much to do
he is suffering from death thats overdue."

    ^^^
That line was so sad and heartbreaking, so powerful.

I like how your poem follows the child as the years go by. Beautiful use of insight.

WOW major ending, really brought the piece home. I hope everybody learns from it as well.

You're doing a great job with your poems.
    well done
    ^_^
