Forgotten Hall

by carl   May 28, 2007

Blaring music rode down the street
white light dashed across my wall
I didn't dare to look out of my blinds
So i bolted across the forgotten hall

I hid underneath the table
praying for my Dad to come home
Then i heard a smack and a scream
All of which were very known

I clenched my legs tightly
As if it was me being hit
Pain filled my stiff body
As my mother and sister carried on a fit

Tears poured from my shut eyes
My body began to shake
Once again i prayed for this all to end
But the fighting started an earth quake

An hour went by and so did my hope
My heart began to fall
With the slam of a door silence came
But i still lay in the forgotten hall
