Shatter

by Kyrie   May 28, 2007

Strung out on the night sky,
sharing space. side-by-side,
blissed out under the all seeing eye.
You hold me tight, tel me you'll always be mine.
Your twisting your fate, how am I to explain...

It feels so good, but I have fears inside,
that all this will just wilt away.
I'm fragmented inside,
my heart broken long ago,
I'm losing my mind,
and never did find my soul.

If this ideal world shatters,
will you stick around?
Telling me none of it matters,
or will you not be found?
When our minds and backs do break,
when our faiths waver,
when our whole world quakes,
will you love for me quiver?

Kiss away all my fear, silence my worry some thoughts
lock yourself in my embrace,
and together we will waltz away
to where death and insanity await.

Resign yourself to fate,
love yourself blind,
the ride of a lifetime it will make,
when the chaos of life seizes your mind.
Stick with me and you might see,
the merits of insanity.
Set your mind free,
ride the wave to eternity.
Rock your world,
right down to the bone,
I'm the double edged sword
that will cut you down to the soul.

Love me if you dare,
and I will love you back,
with every bit I can spare.
Just don't whine to me
when I cause you to crack.
Because in the end you won't be me,
bound and broken on the floor,
don't you see?
I shattered long ago.
And if we make it through,
until our world shatters,
I promise to dance with you,
through broken pieces of all that ever mattered.
Because in the end, if you stick with me,
we'll be left with each other,
and the music of everything breaking away,
shattering into infinity.
