Today I am tomorrow I won't

Today I am tomorrow I won't

I've learnt not to count on the stars (but let's dance under them anyway)
Try to seduce me, find out my address (but I'm not here to stay)
I'm rooted to this spot, foundations run tunnels deep (but let's run away)
Tomorrow I'll be different (but let's focus on today)

So breathe in this cold evening air, (but don't you feel hot?)
These feelings run so loose, (but let's tie them in knots)
Remembering every face I encounter (but sorry, I still forgot)
Today I'm here (but tomorrow I'm not.)

Words are easy to speak (so much harder to mean)
I'm jumping over fences (because something tells me the grass is green)
Surrounded by chaos (but ain't life serene?)
Today I'm fixed, (tomorrow I'm in-between.)

Hoping to leave (guessing I don't)
Standing in crowds (but still so alone)
Letting you go (because you're what I need most)
Today I quite like you (tomorrow I won't)

I loved this, absolutely loved it. I also really liked the brackets, it really added to the effect of the poem.

"Words are easy, to speak (so much harder to mean)"
^^ I think it would sound better without the comma. Maybe just me though.

"Hoping to leave (guessing I don't)
Standing in crowds (but still so alone)
Letting you go (because you're what I need most)
    Today I quite like you (tomorrow I won't) "

^^ I fricken adored those lines, they really stuck out to me. Great job.

Wow, I love this. I like how in most of the brackets it's a contrasting phrase to what came before it. I also liked how you managed to make it rhyme, despite it's complexity.

    Really good.
