Because of her

by Perfectly Imperfect vaney   May 28, 2007

I see her

as she puts her mask on

a pretty smile and a mouth full of lies

I see her

as she dresses

long sleeves and jeans to hid her scars

I see her

as she makes her way to school

good grades and wonderful friends

I see her

as she goes home

and removes her mask to reveal a stranger

I see her

as she stares in the mirror

broken smile and a shattered soul

I see her

as she cries her heart out

shaking with anger and regret

I see her

as she slices through her skin

letting the blood stain her hands

I see her

as she slices again

but its not enough

I see her

as she takes the gun

and points to her head

I see her

as she closes her eyes

smiles that same broken smile

I see her

as she whispers to me

"I hope you know why I did this"

I see her

as she pulls the trigger

parts of her on the wall

I walk away from her

quiet and confused

numb from what I witnessed

Because of her

I'm filled with the same anger and regret

suffocating with this secret

Because of her

she sees me put on my mask

a broken smile and a mouth full of lies...
