A poem

by Erayner   May 28, 2007

I long to know your tender touch
To hold you near I'd give so much
I look upon your lovely face
And fight so hard to not embrace
To hold, enfold you in my arms
And keep you safe from every harm
To feel you slowly breathing in
And hear your beating heart within
From your body growing warm
Protection from the harshest storm
Support you give, and with it peace
As fears and doubts are caused to cease
And looking down upon your grace
Caressed by moonlight in this place
I stare into your darkened eye
And fight back tears I long to cry
For all of this is in my mind
Nothing more than thoughts refined
I want to have these things with you
But it requires want by two
