Whisper

by Monica   May 28, 2007

Window on a vine-covered cottage
holds the beauty of a maiden.
Locks of hair stream out
at the dead of night,
waiting for the suiter to kiss them.

Quiet chariot arrives,
dark coat hiding the obvious.
Steps on soft grass and stands...
below the window.

Stars shining the black-laden sky
light the lips as the suiter
whispers to his lover,
"Beauty lay with me."
