Can true friendships be formed?
at least can they
outside happenstance?

can one seek another one
stranger- but become a friend
or is this false romance?

meet me for the purpose
of trying to become my friend
and what have you done?

If I seek you
searching for a beloved
what risks will I run?

If all purpose-made friendships are artificial
or at least less sure than nature-made
how can loneliness be overcome
save by random chance's hand?
