Once daddys little girl

by lory   May 29, 2007

A small hand
wrapped around a finger
of a man that was her hero
to her daddy could do no wrong
in her eyes he was god
years start to pass
and she starts to grow
no longer was she
daddy's little girl
what made them grow apart?
shell never know
grow apart from her superman
away from the innocence
of a relationship that once
meant something.
her dad,
someone that was once so familiar,
is now a stranger,
a man on the street an unopened book.
a mysterious figure known only by looks.
she tells her dad that
she wants to find their way back
back to what they once were
him back to her hero
and her back to daddy's little girl,
can you do that for me daddy?
she looks into the eyes of her fallen hero,
he stranger and prays she is not forgotten
and as she looks and prays
she searches for the man that used
to hold her hand and say
you will always be my Little girl.
