Quilt Scraps

by RainbowSlider   May 29, 2007

Military clothing makes good quilt scraps. I can remember the wonderful time my grandmother and great aunts had making the quilts. I was so happy to have my dad home even though I was given what the military had transformed into a monster. Growing up in a boot-camp atmosphere has an effect on children. You look at the pictures of them in their uniforms and you get a sense of pride. You just wish you got the option of
getting to know them when they were still human. You get to live in fear of them. But then you learn of God and read about how you are supposed to fear him. It can lead you to believe that fear is the meaning of life.

I don't really like this poem. It's probely because I really really don't like this style.
But as always, I love your wording and the atmosphere you manage to create.
