Friendships come and go ,
seldom does a special one grow.
All those years you lived nearby ,
and all we ever said was hi.
Then I decided to move away ,
our addresses we swapped on that day.
Its nearly two years since our friendship begun ,
exchange of letters is what we first done.
In time swapping numbers we did do ,
and when I can I come down to visit you.
Even though we are now miles away ,
your in my thoughts every day.
You've shown that your always there for me ,
and here for you too I'll always be.
I'm so glad we've become friends ,
and I hope our friendship never ends.
A best friend is what I've found in you ,
you mean alot to me this is true.
I have written this for my best friend and thought that I may give it to her for her birthday ,but like a couple of my poems that I have wrote for others lately I thought I would post it on here first as the comments of all on here mean a great deal.
