I carved the word Hate (redone, revised)

by RawrItsDollfacex   May 29, 2007

I carved the word Hate
on this very date
on my wrist.

i watched the sky go dark
as i made another mark
up my skin.

it tore and it bled
and thoughts filled my head
of what i should do next.

I cocked my head to one side
prayed to god that i would die
and saw it to be fruitless.

the purple lines of bruises hidden
of the touch thats forbidden
upon my arm.

I carved the word Love
in the tree branch above
to hide it where no one would see.

I watched the sun set
and watched the sun rise
and found beauty in this goodbye.
