My Son

by dawn green   May 29, 2007

You were born on a hot day in July
The love I felt for you I can not deny.

You are my son I will love you forever
But your attitude has to change to make things better.

Your bitter and think you have had such a hard life
With that attitude I fear that you'll never get a wife.

Do you know what I feel is such a shame?
That every time something goes wrong, your never to blame.

How about asking, "Mom, how was your day?
Instead all you do is make everyone hear what you have to say.

For your Uncle you pushed me aside
And because I don't have his money it's me that you hide.

You criticize me and put me down
You make feel like I am some kind of clown.

Your happy as long as things go your way
But you don't understand things may go wrong each and every day.

I have put up with a lot throughout the years
And for you unless you change I will shed no more tears.

You have hurt my feelings and made me feel cursed
You my son you were born my first
And If I don't get this out I feel I will burst

So I will say it again and say it loud
Straighten your a** up and make me proud
