Holding a picture with tears in my blue eyes,
As I look up to the stars, cursing to the sky,
And in his eyes, I can finally see the stories,
That all along he worked so hard to hide from me.
Hidden beneath his "I love you's" I missed the clues,
I got so blinded by it all, lost within his baby blues,
And the wind blows through the curtains on me,
As I look to this picture and I can finally see -
He never loved me, I was just a simple distraction,
And now I'm slowly wasting away from his fatal attraction,
My friends always told me to get out while I could,
But I stayed around, knocking on the cold hard wood -
The moon shines down, casting a shadow on the wall,
As I look to the mirror and on my knees I slowly fall,
And these tears are falling from his games so cruel,
Under my breath, I whisper: "Baby, I was almost a fool!"
