Hit the Ground Running

by xXxIf You Only KnewxXx   May 29, 2007

The sweet and sour words you speak
I knew it all along
They try to look and think they know it all
But their guesses are all wrong

The simple times we had
The laughs and holding you
The fire burned it all away
When you tore my heart in two

I think I've found the antidote
The thing you always knew
Every night I dream
I yearn to bleed my heart of you

My hands are bruised from the fight
The one I had with the wall
The blood trickles like rain
Remembering when i lost it all

Forgotten memories come forward
Secrets that fill my past
I want the fire in your eyes
Without you I crash so fast

Like a bullet shot from a gun
I wish I hadn't seen it coming
And now I'm waiting for the chance
To just hit the ground running
