Epiphany

by Kelsea   May 29, 2007

Early one morning, I
Found myself staring at a woman
Who was much less beautiful than I.
Now, I am sure you think that sounds cocky,
or conceited, or whatever else
you're going to take the opportunity
to throw at me, but
in truth, her looks weren't all that great.
Still, she had two little children in tow,
and she looked happy. She either did not
know she was being observed by a teenaged girl,
or she didn't care.

All of a sudden,
I felt ugly.
