Sadness

by Nancy   May 30, 2007

Happiness, in its true form, eludes me.
Sheer joy, is but a distant memory.
Love is no where to be found.

A broken shell of her former self,
She stares back at me from the mirror,
Who is that girl with the sad eyes?
The light has gone out and she no longer smiles.
