Frown in the coffin

by memorial life   May 30, 2007

I see you there
watching me
watch and stare
im on my knee
begging for
your open hand
strike me once
that i planned
but to die
i did not see
please just hear this
crying plea
echo in my head again
hear his words like a sin
feeling helpless pouring down
beneath the mud an endless frown
marked upon this face of mine
left until the end of time
watch it till it bleeds away
then tell me that its all okay

I think this poem is very interesting, it has a certain erieeness to it, because the way it is formatted made me think of it like a children's song.

I kind of read it to the tune that you would sing 'One two, buckle my shoe'

I think that had a great hook on it.

    Keep up the good work.
