For You My Sweet (revised)

by JRS   May 30, 2007

I lay here dreaming in your arms,
I lay here sleeping, free from harm.
I love the way you hold me so tight
Your breath on my neck all through the night

Don't promise to save me if you don't have the heart
Don't promise to love me if you can't even start

With your lips you still kiss
But in your heart there is fear.
Your touch I feel bliss
But you'll never come near

Why do you hide
Behind the masks that you wear
Can I wake you inside
Or will this end with my tears

The time we spend I keep close to my heart
I know I have loved you right from the start
Only your fear keeps you bottled inside
You can run from me but can never hide

I can only have hope
That the puppy within
Will be able to cope
And let some love in

This one was beautiful and fantastic also =) It made me look at some of the things I do and...I think I put my bf through this same thing even though I love him with all my heart =( Thank you for making me see it through your work =) Another well deserved 5 =)
