Behind Smiles [Senryu]

by Tammie   May 30, 2007

Behind every smile
Something's buried deep inside
Veiled from exposure

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Senryu is an unrhymed Japanese verse consisting of three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables (5, 7, 5). Senryu is usually written in the present tense and only references to some aspect of human nature or emotions.

* Although Veiled sounds like it is two syllables, I checked it in the dictionary and it says it is one. Just to verify that. =P *
