You Are My All

by ephemera   May 30, 2007

You are the sun at sunrise
The moon in the midnight sky
You are every heavenly body
That fills my existence with light

After an afternoon rain
You are the rainbow that appears
And like this arc of light
There shall be no end to my love

And like the swell of the ocean waves
My love for you overflows
Onto beaches of white sand
Of distant shores of tropical islands

You are an ancient song
Sung from the lips of Orpheus
So hauntingly beautiful
It cannot be written

And time may journey ever onward
And the seasons shall pass me by
I vow to be ever true
From this moment until I die
